It seems to me that the following recipe, as far as quantities are concerned, is also tailored to Fretzens Hänner. But if there is no Hänner in the family, you could invite some friends over for these unusual waffles!

The recipe:

Peel, rinse and grate the potatoes.

Cream butter and sugar.

Separate eggs.

Add egg yolks and potato mixture to butter mixture form.

Stir well with the flour.

Beat egg whites until stiff and mix gently.

Place the saucepan with the finished batter in a large enough bowl of hot water to prevent the waffle batter from setting.

In portions, bake the batter in the waffle iron until golden brown.
