Instructions:

From the melanzane cut stem small, then wrap in aluminum foil. Turn the oven on 250 degrees and bake the melanzane on the broiler in about 40 minutes. Cool down a bit. Peel off the skin of the melanzane. Blanch (scald) tomatoes, peel and cut in half. Press out the seeds. Peel the garlic. Cut chilies in half lengthwise and remove seeds. Blend vegetables and garlic in hand mixer or with hand blender. Fold in oil and paradeis pulp. Season with juice of one lemon, salt and sugar. Fold in drained mussels and coarsely chopped basil.
