Mix sugar, butter, salt a few minutes until very creamy, then fold in the egg well, followed by flour and baking powder. Fold in 2/3 of the chocolate.
Place the dough by the teaspoonful in the form of balls about three centimeters in diameter, spaced well apart, on a greased baking sheet and sprinkle with the remaining chocolate. Bake at 180 degrees (convection oven 160 degrees ) for about 15 minutes.
The classic Us cookies, baked very quickly and best eaten fresh. Variations: Chop caramel candy (hard or soft) and add to the dough form, use white chocolate, add chopped nuts or raisins.
Tip: Use better chocolate – the more delicious the result!
