For the focaccia, sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the center. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water and add to the flour.

Mix carefully and let rise for about 20 minutes. Add salt, sugar, olive oil and herbs and knead everything into a smooth dough.

Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until it has significantly increased in size. Dust with a little flour and knead on the work surface.

Divide into 6 pieces and roll each into an oval shape. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, press indentations into the patties and place the pieces of dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the patties generously with olive oil and let them rise again for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the focaccia for about 20 minutes.
